How reviews are approached
Gear and equipment featured on Ciss Outdoors is assessed through repeated use over time, rather than controlled testing or first impressions. Reviews focus on how items perform in practice, including context, limitations, and suitability, so readers can judge what may or may not work for them.
I’ve worn the Sweaty Betty Zero Gravity 6” shorts and Zero Gravity Race Fit T-Shirt consistently through spring and early summer (on trail runs, road workouts, hikes and even everyday errands) because they aren’t just built for hot-weather performance, they deliver it. From warm Scottish mornings to brisk trails under changing skies, the duo has been tested in real use and shows what it takes to move comfortably, confidently and stylishly. This review dives into how each piece performs, fits and fares over real-world wear.
Sweaty Betty Zero Gravity 6” Shorts: Comfortable Performance

What You Need To Know
Model: Zero Gravity 6″
Size: Ladies UK 10/Small
Time using them: a few months
Fit notes: high waistband with drawstring for personalised fit, sculpting design
Best for: warm weather running and hiking
Key features: two side pockets large enough for a phone, one zippered rear pocket for valuables
I’ve been wearing the shorts for a while now and I love them; they’ve more than earned a spot in my regular kit. The shorts are designed to sculpt, wick away sweat, and provide a secure fit that stays in place. I’ve taken them out for multiple trail runs and hikes, and each time they’ve allowed me to feel confident and comfortable. I cannot stand shorts that need constant adjusting when you move. The fabric, the cut and the high waist fit of the Zero Gravity shorts mean they don’t budge an inch. The best part? Pockets! A phone-friendly pocket on either leg and a zipped back pocket at the waistband.

The Sweaty Betty Zero Gravity 6” shorts hold up expertly to repeated use. I won’t talk about kit until I have washed it. These shorts wash like a dream. No bagging, no pilling… and they dry extremely quickly.
Nervous about the 6″ length? The Zero Gravity shorts also come in a 9″ version, perfect for building confidence. Wearing shorts has to be on your own terms, choose ones you are comfortable with!
Zero Gravity Race Fit T-Shirt: Lightweight and Breathable

While the shorts steal the show, the tee is another standout item in Sweaty Betty’s new running collection. It’s featherlight, breathable, and stretchy – everything I need for a comfortable and unrestricted fit. The tee keeps me cool on warmer days and is easy to move in, making it ideal for any outdoor adventure. Like the shorts, it washes great and dries quickly.

I wore the Zero Gravity Race Fit T-Shirt to a recent trail race (pictured above). The shorts were in the wash, proof they’ve been getting a lot of wear!
Why I Keep Reaching for Them
In short: the combination of the Zero Gravity shorts and Race Fit tee has earned a place in my rotation because they hold up under varied outdoor use, wash beautifully, and offer the kind of performance I expect when I’m out running or simply on the move. If you’re looking for hot-weather running gear that works hard, looks good and transitions into casual wear, this set from Sweaty Betty ticks the boxes.
